How did we get here?
In high school I decided that the long-term effects of taking hormonal birth control every day was not in the cards for me. For months leading up to going off of the pill, I decided I was going to try to learn as much about my hormones and the control I personally had over them. And what I found resulted in the need for this social activism kit. The access to this information is so difficult to unpack. It felt so so complicated and like something that I could never do myself. That summer I dedicated my time to eating and exercising in order to supplement what my body needed due to the phase of my cycle that I was in. That is the most mental clarity that I have ever had. I felt motivated, healthy, and happy. I wanted to share this way of living with others that found the topic to be overwhelming, taboo, or foreign in general.
